If ZZ Top Had Been Australian..

..nobody would have heard of them. They would have used the English/Australian pronunciation of the letter and would have been called "Zed Zed Top". I just can't see that having caught on, myself.

Did spot a Ford Falcon with the number plate "ZZ TOP" on Friday. I have their Greatest Hits album. They put out some great stuff - even if all of the songs sound the same. Didn't do any damage to the popularity of AC/DC or the Beatles, did it?

Pity it didn't damage both of them!

Now, now. We can't all enjoy Charlie Pride and Jim Reeves.

What about Elvis and all the classical stuff I love,eh? People who like the Beatles etc, have all their taste in their mouths, in my opinion.

What about it? Good question indeed. I suppose that Elvis was pretty formulaic and it worked for him all those years ago.

It is still working for Elvis, and he has been dead for nearly 28 years!

I said a looooong time ago that Elvis would be alive for longer while he was dead than when he was actually alive.
