South Perth Foreshore View

Last night we had a meal at Dome Cafe in South Perth. Very nice food and served quite quickly also. The girl who served me had very difficult English to understand and it surprised me to find that she was Korean. Miky wanted to take her sister along the foreshore after tea to get some photos of the sun reflecting off the buildings in Perth.

The view was quite nice and the new Wheel of Perth was clearly visible. It was a lovely evening and the mozzies didn't start to bother us until close to 9:30pm.

The wheel of Perth looks interesting. Has it opened yet? What's the response like back at home about it?

The Wheel opened last Thursday. Well, it was supposed to. Was definitely running on Saturday night. It is a bit small when you compare it with the Singapore Flyer but it is quite a talking point. And it is a great sight at night time. Should be a bit of a boost for tourism and culture.

It was lucky you went on the Singapore Flyer when you did. I suppose you heard about the fire on it?

Wouldn't have been too bad to have been stuck on the Flyer for a few hours. I'm sure they were so embarrassed about it that people were compensated quite well. It's a great view to behold. Yeah, I heard about it.

Looks very cool! Beautiful! Too sad I´m afraid of height, though :-( But then, when you´re on it you don´t see it ;-)

Iris, it's probably not high enough to be that scary. There was one lady they interviewed on opening day who was scared of heights so she went around the first time with her eyes closed and felt safe enough to open them for the rest of the ride. Maybe you could give that a go.
