Came across a few interesting number plates recently. Well, within the last few months anyway. I've been saving them up for a while before being in a position to share them.

Suitable Licence Plate For A Tailgater

I hate tailgaters. As we were driving last night to the Yummy House, a Chinese restaurant, I was being tailgated. I even commented to the missus, "I hate people driving up my arse." It was a single carriageway with four lanes so there was no problem for the driver to overtake me. Tailgating at night time is even more stupid than during the day as you have less time to react to a situation.

I must say I almost had an accident caused by laughing when the car finally went past. The number plate was 1ANL...! I kid you not. How befitting for a tailgater.

Bit of a slow news week. We've got the boy's birthday party this afternoon so that should be an afternoon full of noisy, sugared-up kids running around. Glad to be paying someone else to look after them (read = put up with).

Just to keep you entertained I'll throw up a few number plates I have seen recently.

4SHAW - "For Shaw" and not "for sure". How do I know this? Mr Shaw came out to his car as I was about to take a photo of his number plate, so I kindly asked permission, and he proceeded to tell me that his name was Shaw and that the car was for him.

That's "Mr Rob" to you. I wonder if it is the same Mr Rob as who does the kids' workshops at Bunnings?

P DUBBA U - PW, I guess.

FERAL HD - And the rider of the Harley Davidson looks pretty feral too! I wouldn't want to mess with her.

The number plates alone would be too difficult for me to justify. Never mind buying a pair of Lamborghinis.

Wacky Number Plates

Are the plates wacky or is it just me?

Corridor of Uncertainty number plate.

I found the first one funny because I read a blog formally known as the Corridor of Uncertainty. It's a cricket blog but it now goes by the name of The Corridor (a cricket blog). Ol' Will Luke has the occasional money raising request but I didn't think that he'd gone to sell number plates.

Interesting news article about a driver who crashed into a convenience store in his car, did a burnout, and left no doubt that he is an idiot by leaving his number plate behind. Definitely a Holden driver.

Arrested driver in Perth tonight. Unfortunately I didn't get close enough to photograph his number plate. Judging by the way the police were searching his car in the middle of the street he must have done something pretty stupid.

What Does Your Personalised Number Plate Say About You?

Lots of people have personalised number plates on their cars. It's a way of telling the world a little bit more about you. People put their names, their football team, their birth year, nicknames and all sorts of things on them. I spotted one this morning that made me think - JULES COX. Was this the personal number plate of Miss Julia/Julie Cox or was it a rather promiscuous woman who also enjoys sparkling jewelry? I'm not sure.
