Strange Signal From a Taekwondo Referee

What exactly is this taekwondo referee signalling?

Bee Movie - Strange Insect

Whilst watering the plants this afternoon I noticed a rather strange bee that I did see a week ago. It behaves more like a fly as it sits and preens itself rather than collecting nectar. I don't know if this is some other species or variety or just happens to be a deformed bee. Any ideas? Sorry, but there's no Jerry Seinfeld in this Bee Movie.

Strange Lights In The Shopping Centre

Visited the shopping centre on my day off on Monday. And it was a rather strange sensation as there was a power cut at the time. To walk around the place with only backup lights or emergency lights on was weird. Took some photos as I just happened to have my camera handy. Look at the contrast.

Cinema Almost To Ourselves

Funny feeling the other night when we went to the movies. Our movie of choice was Clash of the Titans and it was showing in 3D. Being a Monday night, obviously not a popular movie-viewing night, it was a bit quiet in the cinema. So quiet in fact that there was only one other audience member. Surreal. I almost felt like a billionaire with my private cinema with seating for several hundred.

I enjoyed the movie but thought that a Greek story which included an Australian lead, an Irish co-star and an Englishwoman as a demi-god was a far-fetched. The 3D effects were better than Avatar but nothing to get too excited about.

Strange Lights In The Sky

Yesterday was warm. Warm as in 37.1C. Good weather for a dip in the pool. Upon our return I noticed some strange lights in the sky. They were still evident by the time I arrived home so I took some photos. Weird. It was almost like somebody was having a party or the airport had some searchlights during an air raid. Don't know what it was.

Strange Insect Discovered in Garden

Whilst having a bit of a spring clean this afternoon I noticed something waddling in the distance on the paving. It turned out to be a quite weird insect. Anybody know what it is?

Americans Have Strange Names

I think that Americans have it in the bag when providing strange names for their children. Names like "Stone", "River", "Rain", "Summer", "Moonbeam", "Apple", "Dweezil" and "Moon Unit" spring to mind.

How about Kevin? For a woman, that is. I read a news report some time ago referring to Kevin Kleine being a woman. Where will this all end?
