Nope, I haven't been fishing. After our return from holidaying in Hong Kong, Macau and South Korea (more {much more} on that later), we noticed that the sink drain didn't actually drain very well. I grabbed the plunger and freed up a bit of gunk but that didn't fix the problem. The missus said to check the drain at the back of the house. And what should I find? A tree root had grown in the drainpipe, again, and created quite a blockage. Mucked around with it for a few minutes and tried a few different things - plunger, cut everything out of the main pipe, cavity rod to try to clean it out. Then, once all else had failed, I decided to grab the small root and pull that bit out. Lo and behold the whole thing came out. And what a disgusting catch it was. Check out the photo. Now the sink drains very well. That is, until the root regrows.
One that didn't get away.
