Great to see the Commonwealth government showing some initiative and proposing to nationalise the licensing of electrical, plumbing and gas occupations. Wow, I only wrote to Prime Minister John Howard in 1996 straight after he was elected proposing just such an idea. Along with nationalising our drivers licences. The wheels of government sure do turn slowly.
